To Whom It
May Concern:
This small letter
is written in support to
keep the Stehekin Road open for recreational purposes.
I first traveled on the road in a truck (about the only one then in the
town of Stehekin) about 1960, while fishing the upper reaches of the river
and some creeks with my Uncle and cousin. Though fishing was not too good
at the time that week (due to high water) we had an excellent time. I
am of firm belief that since the road has been there for decades upon
decades, there shouldn't be any reason for it to be discontinued now,
due to damages and or the need to relocate it above the said area. I support
reconstruction and further maintenance of the said road where applicable
to do so, whereby the integrity of the environment is kept in mind for
"sound" reconstruction plans to keep the road open.
Thank You,
Sincerely,
Ken J. McLeod
